Too bad New Year's sucks as well.
Yesterday I went to David's house to d/l some songs to burn onto a CD, but we couldn't find all of them. I also watched Kikujiro, a really funny Japanese movie. I was supposed to go back today, but I couldn't get a hold of him so...
Anyways I went to Uwaji with my mom, she spent a really long time looking for a "nice calendar". Yeah... well I came home and I thought I was going to do something but apparently not, now I'm stuck home and listening to sad songs and it's a crappy new year's.

Christmas really sucked this year. I stayed home. Whoop de doo.
Yesterday (well Wednesday) I visited my aunts who I haven't seen for the longest time. It was a nice reunion. Then went to the post office to mail some money orders and our defective mod chip, then to Uwaji to look for calendar but couldn't find it, to Downtown Old Navy and bought pants.
Today (technically yesterday) hung out with Nick and David, went to Uwaji again and bought a CD, back to David's house to play games. He got really pissy when I won like twice in a row in MvsC2, when he had won for 13 straight games before that. After that we went to McDonald's in West Seattle, to Tori's house where it was weird because she wasn't expecting us.

Fun three days! Completely slacker throughout. Let me recap as usual...
Thursday was supposed to be a hard day, but I had no tests whatsoever. We finished up our homework for Calc and had the rest of the day to relax; Anna and I played Monopoly and I won because I had hotels on Mediterranean/Baltic and several houses on the yellow properties while she had none :) That's what she got for not buying Mediterranean when she landed on it or any of the yellow properties when she landed on them as well. 4th watched "Glory," a really good movie starring Matthew Broderick (who I never knew was in the movie...) Yeah I did my Stats HW for the first half. Lunch in Gabino's van at Burger King, oh yeah also got an ornament present from Alex L. (thanks); 6th period we had a sub and it was completely slacker because we watched videos. Got home, had no HW, so I spent the entire time wrapping all my gifts using Aaron's wrapping paper... slacked off a bunch, got two hours of sleep. And that's Thursday.
Yesterday was more fun and interesting. Before school I gave David his gift of Ferrero Rocher and Sanrio stuff, James his DBZ T-shirt. David got me a PS2 vertical stand, thanks :) First period, exchanged gifts (all Ferrero Rocher) with Sarah (who gave me a bomb Godiva chocolate bar), Eugene (I forget what he gave me), and Lynn (who gave me nasty jello. Eww, I still haven't eaten it.) I gave Laura her Xena Warrior Princess present and she got a kick out of that :) Oh yeah Gabino also gave me my present, Pink's CD "M!SSUNDAZTOOD" and it was a cool present (thanks a lot!) Let's see.. we watched the beginning of Rurouni Kenshin, an anime which I've always thought looked really cool but never had time to watch. From what I saw it's pretty good...
Class ended after 30 minutes, went to 2nd period... it was a party! Gave Eric and Michele little Ferrero Rocher candies and Michele gave me some brownies (yay.) Gave Anna her Pokemon gifts, she hasn't opened yet though, and she gave me exactly $7 in cash from her wallet (thanks! uhh...) Just slacked off the entire period. Let's see... just relaxed. After that we had an assembly, went to the gym to look for peeps to give my presents to but no one was there except Gabino... everyone skipped :( Oh well. Gave Gabino his present David, Aaron and I bought him so my bag was lighter. The assembly was okay.
3rd period... we actually had work in Statistics! Exchanged generic gifts with Rachel and Elise, gave them Ferrero Rochers, Rachel gave me a cup with Swiss Miss and peppermint sticks and Elise gave me random candies. At the beginning of 3rd they announced PSAT scores were back; this worried me because I was wondering what I got... after 3rd I went to the counseling office to find out, and I found out I did okay. I got 200... 96% percentile. 66 verbal, 70 math, and 64 writing... darn! I did really well on writing last year too. Oh well, it's still better than last year... but no National Merit Scholarship for me :(
On the way to 4th I gave Alex L. his present but told him not to open it yet. I also gave Raymond his present but told him not to open it yet. 4th period finished glory. Nothing exciting happened.
Beginning of lunch came into Stever's, gave Khaliun her Hello Kitty plush gift and took pictures, gave Peter his present. Gave Jeffo his VCD present I made (but got nothing in return... hmm). Let's see... I also gave Aaron's present, and both Aaron and Alex L. opened their nice eraser presents! They're the Japanese kind that work well and are expensive. They better not lose them. Next I spent lunch outside the library, exchanged gifts with Shu Ming and Amy (I gave both Pokemon stuff, Shu Ming stationary, Amy an expensive Japanese eraser) and they gave me a gift certificate for $10 at Southcenter (thanks!) Went back to Stever's to watch the end of Ace Ventura 2. And then Eric came, and his present was the last real present I had to give out (it was a Spawn action figure).
Okay so before 5th I rushed to give out the last of my Ferrero Rochers... to Luk, who gave me sunglasses (I wasn't expecting them, so I gave him two packages), to Lizzy and Megsie I saw in the halls. 5th was relaxing, no work. I gave my last Ferrero Rocher thing to Andrea in 6th period and she told me to wait outside her locker so she could give me something... and then Virginia gave me some fudge and I was like "Oh I just ran out" and Andrea started laughing and made a big deal out of it, and Virginia was like "No it's fine" but I felt really bad. Ohh well. 6th was just relaxing. Went to David's house afterschool and just hung out, then walked home (it was quite cold) and fell asleep until 4 AM...
If I hadn't written enough on yesterday already, today was a bigger day :) Woke up at 4, tried to make my own version of "Say the word" by singing it and blending it with the instrumental... let's just say it took a long time. Tried to send it to David so he could make a CD out of it and we could listen it in the car (hmm) but it didn't transfer.
Around 8 or so I went to David's house for his all-day b-day party. There were only five of us... me, David, Brian S., Alex L., and Aaron, who drove us to Issaquah for Krispy Kremes. The line wasn't too long, the service was friendly, the samples were generous, and yeah. We ended up eating some donuts there. We were going to go to Illusionz after that but Aaron didn't want to stop so we could ask for directions... hmm. Oh well.
Dropped by Ray's house to give him some donuts, then back to Dave's to play some games. I lost really badly in all the games I played. We were playing for a few hours but it didn't seem that long. Around 12 Ben and Eric stopped by, we played a little more then went to Chinatown. We stopped for gas and, driving all four cars, there was a little miscommunication so we ended up meeting there. Eric and I followed Ben and Alex L. to Chinatown; we parked free parking, then walked around a bit... bought Vietnamese sandwiches and went inside Uwaji, then off to Gameworks we went... via bus tunnel. We met Alex G., Peter, and Jie Yang there.
Gameworks sucked, no unlimited card. I hate Gameworks, there are a lot better arcades, and they're overpriced. Well Johnnalson and them showed up so it was regrettable that we decided to ditch Gameworks and see a movie. I actually came back and used up $3 on Long's card, but I didn't pay him back... oh well.
We debated a bit on whether to see "Ocean's 11," "Not Another Teen Movie," and "Lord of the Rings." Lord of the Rings was sold out, so... we ended up seeing "Not Another Teen Movie." While it looked really funny in the previews, it was a sucky movie! The first half was funny and great but the way the tied everything together in the end really blew. Overall, I didn't really like the movie.
After the movie someone got the idea of going to Southcenter! I got in Peter's van with Alex G. and Eric so we could go to Chinatown to pick up the cars then go to Southcenter. Southcenter was pretty fun, we got pretty good parking too. Except it was on the opposite side of the food court.. oh well. Eric and I got there first.
I played some DDR, one round of doubles and failed "Ba Kkwo" Maniac, another round with Alex G. Then I played Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and almost won against some arcade pro, which was kinda funny, but he was probably going easy on me (I was mashing buttons too... hmm) Well then it was time for Red Robin's. So in Eric's car I went.
Eric and I got there first again, so we made reservations with the manager for 12-15. Everyone else soon came, and we met with Raymond. We wanted to go to Best Buy, so we gave the manager a walkie talkie and told her to contact us inside Best Buy... pretty neato, harhar.
Best Buy sucked. The store itself was great but there was this one Asian dude with spiky hair that kept following us around everywhere we went, thinking we were ghetto and were going to steal something. That right there is racial profiling. I wanted to go confront him but I wasn't even sure if he was specifically following us, so I didn't. I was so pissed off afterwards though.
Red Robin's was okay. The food was good as usual. And let's see... Ben and Alex G. got lost after Southcenter and we didn't notice until then. They soon came.
After dinner Eric and I picked up Jeffo. And went back to David's, to play some more games. Then Aaron drove me home. And what a fun day it's been.

Thank goodness for the easy schoolday. 1st period we had to sing "Ue wo muite arukou", I sang with David F. karaoke and I sang pretty well but he didn't really know the words at all so I feel kinda bad forcing him to do it. Oh well, he was complaining a lot afterwards, whatever. 3rd period we had Mr. Davis as a sub so it was completely slacker. Lunch at Key Club, pot luck lunch and white elephant party but I had no gift. Spent the rest of lunch at Stever's, sometime near the end I went with Eric to his locker to get my gift and I found out there was a receipt in the bag, it was funny because he was somewhat wrestling with me so I wouldn't see it. 5th just graded stuff, Luk came in to visit and I worked on Calc HW.
Afterschool Eric drove me to Chinatown. Bought the last of my gifts, bought some sushi (I think I've spoiled myself on my own sushi, the store kind just doesn't taste any good anymore...) and I was broke. Not to mention it was on $10 borrowed from Khaliun. Well after that I rode the bus tunnel Downtown and was dreading having to wait 3 hours until volunteer time. Luckily, I found Amy! I helped her find gifts for other people until she had to meet with Shu Ming @ 4:30. We walked around Pacific Place, to Old Navy. But we soon parted. Soon it was time to volunteer, so I went to the carousel, and found out NO ONE ELSE from GHS was there besides me... it was awkward because all the Shorewood people were there. Well pretty soon Hannah came so we buddied up and did the exit, to helping people on rides, to the ticket booth. During our break we went to Westlake so Hannah could buy gifts for people. And yeah, back to the warm ticket booth. I got a ride home with her afterwards.

Haven't updated since Friday... so...
Saturday- In the afternoon went with David and Aaron to Southcenter to buy gifts. Back to his house, some people came for a sushi party. They watched a movie afterwards but I needed to go home so Aaron gave me a ride home.
Yesterday was stressful. Afterschool my sister drove me around to Costco so we could find things to give out... but to no avail.
And today was stressful too. Although, I got my first gifts from people! During 1st Laura gave me my present (it was some toy), and between 3rd and 4th Khaliun gave me a present (a Fossil wallet she bought originally for David S... somewhat of an inside joke there...) Thanks :)

Okay so let me think.
Yesterday was such a boring day. I had the test in Calc and I think I did okay, hopefully an A-; it was on Chapt. 4, maxima/minima, related rates, the works. I got a cost problem wrong I'm pretty sure, got something about sine wrong, the EC wrong... hopefully that still equals an A-? ^^;
The next two periods were hellish. AP US we had a Civil War video and the entire class was falling asleep. I tried but to no avail. Lunch with Eugene at Ezell's then to Stever's. 6th period we had another video on Huck Finn and how controversial it was, it was kinda funny.
Today was boring as well... in the morning we practiced singing "Ue wo muite arukou." The VP followed me to my 2nd and 3rd period math classes to monitor. Easy reading anal. in AP US. Lunch at Ezell's again, I went with Amy, then to Stever's. 5th graded quizzes, 6th interesting debate on Huck Finn. Came home, now I'm really bored :\

These past three days...
Monday I found out what I got in history... 66 average w/ rescore on Jacksonian objective, 70 on Jacksonian DBQ! Alright. I was only there four periods because of ortho appointment during lunch.
Tuesday- NHS meeting today. Also, we had a quiz in LA, I was studying for it most of the day.
Today was eventful. Japanese made flash cards, got introduced to the song we're going to sing... I had a Statistics quiz: probability. It was actually okay, I didn't really know what was going to be on it but I hope I did fine. Lunch at Key Club then Ezell's. Afterschool I asked Shu Ming to Winter Ball, she said she'd have to go ask her parents. It was kind of awkward because I asked on my TI-83+ but we'll probably end up going as friends, and I'm fine with that.

| 12.8.01 3:53 AM (Saturday) No Ocean's 11, but... |
The schoolday was kind of boring... I got a 51% on my Jackson test first round though! Afterschool I was supposed to meet with Amy outside of the library so we could go Downtown to see Ocean's 11. Other people ended up going too: Shu Ming, Jennifer, Marta, Austin, and Anna. Yeah... we got Downtown and split up because some of us wanted to go see the movie and others couldn't. Well we found out it was playing in Meridian 16, but no one wanted to go see it because i was 2 hours 6 minutes. BUT I WANTED TO! Argh... I guess it'll have to wait until tomorrow then.
Well after Meridian we stopped by Gameworks really quickly. Then we went around the block ending up in Eddie Bauer. We bought pizza from a small pizza place I never knew existed inside the building Eddie Bauer was in. And then we made wishes with pennies in the wishing pool... uhh let's see... we went back to the Gap so I could get what I came for (besides watching Ocean's 11), pants. And it was the Figgy Pudding Caroling thing so they blocked off a section of Pine, the square outside Westlake.
Well Anna's parents were going to pick her up so we waited outside Barnes and Noble... and waited some more... until an hour or so passed. Well she got picked up after a few years, the rest of us headed to Chinatown. We saw some lights and we thought they were filming a movie but when we rushed over there it was just a construction site. Then I was like "Maybe it's a movie of a construction site!" Yeah that's plausible. Anyways we soon split up guys from girls, I wanted to go to Uwaji but Austin had to take the last bus out. But he missed it! Inside Uwaji I saw a CD I wanted, rushed outside to borrow money from Austin, and did so. Bought the CD. I got home around 9 PM and just fell asleep because I hadn't gotten any sleep last night... yeah... |

Today was so-so. In 2nd period it sucked because I left my HW at home, I had to redo the problems I already did which turned out just fine. It was funny because during tutorial Anna and I were anticipating a class meeting because I was studying for an AP History test, and we usually have class meetings when I'm studying during 2nd period tutorial. Also, they announced the class officers, and the moment they announced president some girl down the hall started to scream, it was the funniest thing.
Yeah so during 4th we had a hella hard objective test and an essay. I'm hoping for at least a 60% on the objective but I really don't know how well I did... the essay was BSed. Lunch at Wendy's, 6th period did some syntax and diction activity on Huck Finn.
Now I'm trying to finish up my Study Q's and Stats Assessment... and then tomorrow I'm going Downtown afterschool. Hopefully I can see Ocean's Eleven. |
| 12.4.01 11:08 PM (Tuesday) Tests a plenty |
So today and yesterday are kinda a continuation of each other. Yesterday I found out I got an A- on that Individualism essay I had such a hard time writing, all right!
Okay so last night I stayed up all night, did my Calc and Stats HW, tried to read Huck Finn and stayed in bed reading it but I fell asleep. Which was bad because I needed to study for history DBQ! Oh well. Yeah I napped for about an hour and woke up, got ready for school.
The only chance I got to study for the History DBQ was 3rd period, so I read the summary on it and did just fine I think. Everyone was like "god this is so hard!" but I didn't find it too hard to organize, and it was certainly the longest DBQ I've written (it was on Jacksonian Democracy).
Lunch, no one wanted to go to Ezell's with me so I went alone. Then I read through Chapter 17 of Huck Finn when 5th period ended. We had partner quizzes and Mahogany was my partner, she didn't read it but that was okay because we got most of them right... just two questions that were on Chapter 17+ so I didnt understand them, we BSed them. Yeah. |

So today started out with me waking up late and not going to the Tijuana trip parent's meeting in the morning. Which was cool because I didn't really want to go...
I called Khaliun and told her to meet me outside Starbucks at 1 PM. Rode the bus Downtown and waited there... and waited... and froze my ass off. Khaliun finally came and was like "No you weren't supposed to go to the Gap!" but I did anyways so she had to park. We went to Angel's for lunch and I helped her with some problems on her Precalc take home test. It was sad because the lady who took our order misunderstood we wanted a spiciness of 2 stars and we got two noodle dishes that were like 5 stars... really hot! We went back downtown, to Old Navy, Gap, Banana Republic, Eddie Bauer where I bought ear warmers, into Westlake, and to J Crew where I bought a scarf. Then she dropped me home, and I talked to Dave S. long distance the entire ride home.
Just right now my sister dropped me up north to a Presbyterian Church to register for the Tijuana trip. It was cool because Alex L. was waiting for me outside the church so I knew where to go. It sounds exciting but the paperwork scares me... it better be worth all this preparation!
